Butterfly Teapot Holder

I've been making these butterfly teapot holders (pattern from Marmalady).  I love the opportunity to mix and match fabric and bias tape choices, and I've learned a lot about sewing bias tape on curves.

The butterflies have heat-resistant batting in the center.  Slip your fingers into the wing pockets to grasp the teapot handle.  These are so cute!

Stephanie! They turned out so cute! I love them all. Thanks for the link and mention. I am off to a fabric shop this morning that wants to carry this pattern and my cozy patterns in Lake Oswego. Very exciting!

Forgot one thing. This pattern was inspired by our friend, Martha, who had requested it. So it always reminds me of Martha when I see it.

Yours came out so cute. Thanks for sharing. Marilyn made the first one for me and I just love using it. It is very practical to use with a teapot and it brings joyful memories of Marilyn each time I use it.

Those are quite clever and nice. Hadn't seen them before. I'm not very crafty though in this way (even though my last name is Kraft). My sister would love one of these. Does anyone sell them that you know of?

The very thought of sewing bias tape gives me, well, butterflies, but I sure love your butterfly teapot holders. Lovely!
