Since we're planting what I hope will be a bumper crop, I definitely plan to use this idea!Angela McRaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10928913868086900802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12436268.post-38716989125729892912012-04-10T14:46:04.714-07:002012-04-10T14:46:04.714-07:00Your salad looks delish!Your salad looks delish!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00128827813593311706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12436268.post-21458171859543264772012-04-09T17:26:00.062-07:002012-04-09T17:26:00.062-07:00Your salad and especially the tomatoes look simply...Your salad and especially the tomatoes look simply delicious! I need to remember to do that this year when we have a surplus. I will say we love to eat them fresh as much as possible, but these would be delightful in the winter salad too.Marilyn Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13115440271615593122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12436268.post-70747347804693087212012-04-09T17:04:54.235-07:002012-04-09T17:04:54.235-07:00La Tea Dah - cool that you've frozen them and ...La Tea Dah - cool that you've frozen them and they worked out well!! Tomatoes are such a wonderful treat!

Last summer I grew heirloom tomatoes and right before first frost I went out and harvested all that was left. I washed them, did not trim anything, and put them in zip-locks for the freezer. Amazing! I've been making tomato soup and sauces from them and the tomatoes have retained their summer-fresh flavor!

Great post!
