I picked up this antique tea strainer when I was on vacation in New Harmony. I found it at a fantastic antique mall. The strainer caught my eye because I love old enameled kitchen items. I have a few, which came with the DH. They are white with red trim. The enamel on this is chipped; it's seen wear. That makes me love it more. I can imagine a young wife straining a big jug of tea with this.

That's the great thing about old stuff - it leaves us with the chance to imagine what life was like for it before we owned it.
Glad to see you love the old things in life. I have several and we use them for tea and other things. I do remember my grandmother using these.
