Zinnias take me back to my grandmother's gigantic garden. She had bush green beans and vines of squash, horseshoe-shaped cucumbers and giant tomatoes. And stuck in the middle, a very long row of zinnias.
Zinnias are pretty, but it seems like when we have grown them they get mildew. Not sure how to resolve that one. I do enjoy them in other peoples gardens. Beautiful.

ReplyDeleteWhen I think of my grandma's garden I think of her cherry trees, and the cucumber, garlic and dill that she grew to make her own dill pickles.
