The Anne of Green Gables Christmas Treasury

Browsing through the craft books at the library, I recently found the book, The Anne of Green Christmas Treasury. What fun! I am a huge Anne fan! This book offers craft ideas and recipes mentioned in the Anne of Green Gables series, or ones that would have been placed in that period. It's a fun book for the Anne lovers in your life.

Here is another source of craft ideas inspired by the book.

  1. Hi Steph,
thanks for stopping by my blog.
We never got the "Anne of Green Gables" series in Italy, Saw it mentioned in several blogs, though. Plus, you got me curious with the book - got to look it up.
    have a great day!

  2. Are you a fan of the Anne movies or the Anne books or both?

Have you ever read The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery? If not, you should. I've counted it as one of my favorites for years.

  3. I read Anne of Green Gables as a preteen and loved it. I grew up with homemade gingerbread men cookies, freshly baked Christmas fruitcake and hard candies that my Mom ordered from the old Sears catalog.

There was always a huge bowl of mixed nuts in the shell and clementines on the table. Mom sewed lots of homemade gifts. We usually had lots of snow for tobogganing. I guess it was an old fashioned Christmas.

  6. Thanks for the tip. I too LOVE Anne. I've read the books many, many times and think they did a beautiful job with the first movie.

One of my favorite trips was when my husband and I finally went up to PEI a few years ago and visited Green Gables and saw the Anne of Green Gables musical in Charlottetown. I suspect that it's on par with how little kids feel when they go to Disney for the first time. :)

  8. Love, love, love Anne! I will look for this book to add to my collection of Anne memorabilia (all the books, a doll, a biography of L.M. Montgomery, all the films, a journal and day book).
