Tiny Asian Tea Set

This beautiful, tiny Asian tea set came in the mail to me recently. It was an unexpected gift and I was delighted! Look at how lovely the hand painted scene is. I've seen lots of small European-style tea sets, but never one like this. Thank you!

Hello Dearie! How the heck have you been??

I've been way too busy to visit my friends lately, and I'm doing the rounds!! I miss everyone, and there's so much fabulous Holiday cheer all over the web!

Hi Steph~
Love your new treasure! What fun to receive such special gifts in the mail. I see that the pot with the handle on the side is sitting on a warmer (or that's what I think it is), but what is the other pot sitting atop? Looks like is holds something? Nancy

Wow, I've never seen anything like this! The teapot on the left is styled like the one on the cover of the Harney Christmas catalog. (Is this a trend?) And like Rosemary, I want to know if the pieces on bottom are to hold tealight candles to keep the water warm. What a lucky duck you were to get these pieces as a gift!

P.S. This set looks vintage. Is it? (Don't mean to be a tea set stalker, but I do like to educate myself on tea things!) Thanks!
