Quilts!

I had the opportunity to attend a fabulous quilt show in my hometown this weekend. And then, with a bit of serendipity, I found a showing of antique quilts in my community, too. Wow - both shows were awesome! The quilts below are from the quilt show. (Photos a little dark, sorry - it was the cell phone cam.) Unfortunately, I don't have photos of the antique quilts.

My favorite one (above)!

Oh wow, I wish I'd been at that quilt show! And bless you for getting that close-up detail on the "tea table" in that one quilt. They all look just terrific. I'm constantly amazed at what folks are doing in the wide wide world of "art quilts." Fun!

I generally do not like quilts. But WOW! These are truly incredible (not to take away from the skills of other quilters- which I'm sure are just as incredible) but you must admit- wow! I especially like the tablescape one. Amazing talents!!! People's God given talents amaze me. Thanks for sharing. I know you must have had a great time.

Those are great. I can't believe the detail. I'm off to "a Mountain Quilt Fest" in Pigeon Forge,TN this weekend. It is fun to see the vast variety of styles and color used by many talented quilters at these shows.

These are amazing! I can't even begin to figure out how many hours of work these must have taken.
