A Refashioned T-shirt

OK, I am pretty pleased with myself on this one. This started out as a plain t-shirt and turned into something I'll actually enjoy wearing. (Most regular T's make me look like a 12-year-old boy.) I followed this great tutorial. A couple of notes:
  1. Next time, I don't think I'll take the ruffle around the back of the neck. It annoys me.
  2. In step 1 of the tutorial, she talks about making 4 strips. She really means 4, even though the picture shows 2. (I just cut the strips in half again, lengthwise.)

Here's the back. This project was very fast, the tutorial was very good and I am very pleased with the result. Yay! This project has turned me on to the idea of refashioning. Hmmm...you might expect more on that.

Cool. Can I give you all my t-shirts to refashion?

That is a great pattern. Your refashioned t-shirt looks good on you. I can't wait to check out the possibilities in my old t-shirt stash. Thanks for the link.

I love this! I think I'll have my daughter check out this posting to get her creative juices flowing. Summer break will be here before too long and she'll need something fun to do!

What a great idea!

This is cute ! I think tee shirts are unflattering on me but sometimes I get ones that are good colors and neat sayings(from camps, projects, church functions) -This would make them wearable.

that is really cute~!
do you do much sewing? I have a book called "sewing in no time" it's 50 step by step weekend projects made easy. I've been sewing for something like 30 years and it's not the level I thought it would be when I ordered it, so I've been watching for someone to pass it along to. If you're interested, shoot me an email.
