Teasmade

A "teasmade" is an interesting tea device popular in the 1960s and 70s, tho its history can be traced to Victorian times. A teasmade is a combo alarm clock and automatic tea maker. Enjoy your piping hot tea first thing, without having to leave the comfort of bed!

Teasmades are quite collectible. Check out teasmade.com or ebay.com to see the extent of their popularity. I don't own one, tho I am keeping my eye open for any that may appear in the local antique mall.

If you have a teasmade, please tell us about it!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I've always wanted one of these as well, but my English mother-in-law says they are very noisy!

Still, it seems like a great little contraption, doesn't it?

Very interesting! Now if only I could find one that would blow-dry my hair for me while I eat breakfast...then I'd never be late for a meeting again! ;-)
